HMR has joined GMC

HMR has officially joined forces with Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood, Inc. (GMC), one of the Southeast’s premier multi-disciplined architecture, engineering and environmental firms.

GMC and HMR have successfully worked together in the past on several projects.  We believe the combined expertise and range of work of our two firms will fortify and expand our depth of resources and services to better serve our clients.

For those who may be unfamiliar with our new partner, GMC is one of the largest privately-held multi-disciplined firms in the Southeast. With 16 offices, including a local office in downtown Mobile, and more than 425 employees, GMC has the capacity to provide regional expertise while maintaining a commitment to local service. Their dedicated staff is equipped to provide all of the services associated with architecture, engineering, environmental services, landscape architecture, planning, geotechnical services, interior design, surveying and transportation. Most importantly, GMC’s team members are dedicated to serving their communities with quality, integrity, creativity and care, recognizing that great engineering and architecture helps make communities better, for everyone.

We have been working on integration plans to ensure a seamless transition for our staff, clients and consultants, which will take place over the next several months. The HMR staff will remain in our current location in Daphne, operating as GMC’s Baldwin County office. Employees in the HMR Mobile office have moved into the GMC Mobile office in the RSA Tower (15th floor).

We are excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to working with you in this new capacity. Please don’t hesitate to call should you have any questions, and be sure to visit for more information!
